About Us

PFC Philosophy

Parap family centre provide an environment that is safe, friendly and welcoming to all members of the community. We believe we create an environment where meaningful relationships are developed, and a strong sense of community is maintained.

We believe the children who come through Parap Family Centre develop secure relationships with the educators which supports them through their learning journey as they develop lifelong skills and qualities.

We view the children as active participants and decision makers, we believe they bring their own diverse knowledge and skills to their learning.

We aim to develop environments that are aesthetically pleasing and are rich and provide opportunities for learning and exploring. Our educators encourage the children to respect the environment through our sustainability practices.

Our educators are highly valued and respected for their experience and knowledge in the Early Childhood Care and Education field.

Meet Our Team

Evelyn Faalong - Acting Director

Evelyn Faalong - Acting Director

My name is Evelyn and I am Acting Director at Parap Family Centre. I am passionate about Early Childhood Education and I have worked with children of all age groups from OSHC(4-15years) and Long Day-care(0-5years) and I have found it a very rewarding experience. I have great admiration for the enthusiasm, curiosity and imagination of children. Being a part of the daily education and nurturing of these attributes, gives me satisfaction.

I am originally from Ghana in West Africa. I have called tropical Darwin home since 2015. I especially like the sunsets at East Point, Long walks on the foreshore, camping and cycling.

Kia Ora,

Hello, my name is Maureen Lutter.

I moved to Darwin last year with my husband after spending a few years in Melbourne, but I am originally from New Zealand.

I love being an Early Childhood Teacher and understand how important it is to empower children to be socially and emotional prepared for their future and to develop a love of learning.

I believe that children have the right to be listened to and respected as individuals.

I relocated from Brazil to Australia in 2010 and completed my Diploma of Early Childhood Education in 2017. Since then I have been working in the Child Care Industry and have had the pleasure of working in Canberra, Sydney and now in Darwin. I love to help children to develop their skills, discovering talents and exploring their own world.

What Our Families are Saying

It is a learning haven which allows for my daughter to grow, explore and learn with other children the same age. We are happy to be part of the PFC family and are thankful for all the support and enabling my child to flourish.

PFC means family. The staff have welcomed my child into their care like one of their own. Nothing is too much trouble, very accommodating.

PFC is a second home for my son and I appreciate all that the educators do.

Staff are welcoming when entering the centre, makes it feel like a safe place for my son

PFC is a community to help influence my child’s growth and development.

PFC is a welcoming and fun place to play and learn.

Happy kids in the centre.

PFC is family friendly; we love the centre as much as our son, it is a safe home away from home for our son.
